Founding Teacher Leader and Primary Guide
Hey everyone, Cliff here. My family and I are proud Ward 8 residents and have been for some time. My wife and I met at the Anacostia Arts Center and got engaged at the Anacostia Park. We now live right down the street from blue and couldn't be more happy about it!
I, personally have a rich history in the historic neighborhood of Anacostia. I've lived across the street from the Frederick Douglass House, taught free yoga classes at the Anacostia Arts Center, taught youth how to compose music at a local theater company and have organized and performed concerts here.
As far as teaching goes, I'm ten years in the game. I've mostly spent my time teaching Infants, Toddlers, Preschoolers and Middle Schoolers. (Yes, middle schoolers!)
I'm excited to continue learning about our community as Jordan and I seek to add value to it!

Hi there! I am originally from Iowa and have lived in DC since 2007. My daughter and I are proud Ward 7 residents and enjoy the community in which we live. I have taught in DC charter schools for 16 years as an early childhood teacher. I have also taught elementary special education for the last 4 years. I am eager to continue my educational journey by providing Montessori education to our younger DC residents! Over my 20 years in education I have come to believe that Montessori provides a developmental appropriate environment which carries into a child's lifelong learning.
My daughter is in high school, so much of my time is taking her to and from her activities, which I am cherish. I enjoy gardening and planting, sewing projects and hanging out with friends at local DC spots. Let me know what your favorite DC things are!
