Clifford Bussie is a passionate educator in the Washington, DC region. In his 10 years of educational work, Cliff, as his friends know him, leaverages careful planning, spontaneity, and observed character traits to keep education fun, effective and invigorating. Some bright spots in his career have been the opening of The Clifford School during the pandemic, his work in the Montessori world, and the upcoming opening of his second school - blue montessori.

Hi there! I am originally from Iowa and have lived in DC since 2007. My daughter and I are proud Ward 7 residents and enjoy the community in which we live. I have taught in DC charter schools for 16 years as an early childhood teacher. I have also taught elementary special education for the last 4 years. I am eager to continue my educational journey by providing Montessori education to our younger DC residents! Over my 20 years in education I have come to believe that Montessori provides a developmental appropriate environment which carries into a child's lifelong learning.

My daughter is in high school, so much of my time is taking her to and from her activities, which I am cherish. I enjoy gardening and planting, sewing projects and hanging out with friends at local DC spots. Let me know what your favorite DC things are!
